Here you have it, fellow bros. A full list of gear and educational resources that have been PIVOTAL to my own transformation to Bro 2.0. I highly recommend everything listed below and encourage you to check it all out.
Self-Improvement Courses
MENPROVEMENT is one of the first self-improvement podcasts that I began listening to and can honestly say it’s made a huge impact on my life. Sean’s includes amazing content around picking up girls, optimizing hormones, body language, upping your brain game, and much more. The Academy is an in-depth multi-layer course on how to become a better all-around bro.
Vanessa Van Edwards - Body Language of Love and Dating
Vanessa is just plain awesome. She breaks down the science and complexities behind every day social interactions. In this series she examines body language in particular and how you can get ahead of the game in attracting women and finding the perfect partner for you
Nutrition
If a robber came into my house and said, “I’m going to steal everything you own, but I’ll leave you one item to keep,” I may oddly enough claim my Vitamix(sorry, Panasonic TV). I use it for multiple blend sessions every single day to nourish my bod with green goodness and nutrients galore. It pulverizes every time bit of veggie or fruit that you through at it in a tornado of epic shredding. Green smoothies are an essential element in getting your health and nutrition on the right track and there’s no better way to mix it up than this.
As a self-proclaimed Bio-Hacker, I’m always looking for new vitamins, herbs, and supplements that can take my mind and body to the next level. I’ve tried just about everything out there, but I’ve found Natural Stacks has been the best combination of natural ingredients that are perfectly optimized for maximum performance. The CILTEP and Dopamine Brain Food are two of my personal favorites. Of course, always check with your doctor before trying something new, but if you’re into smart supplementation, you have to check these guys out
Grooming
As a bearded bro, I’m a proponent of maintaining a flurry of facial hair, but you have to tame the beast so as not to be too primal. Rugged Monkey, a men’s grooming line I run, has a beard balm with all-natural, organic based ingredients that is designed to strengthen, condition, and mold your beard. I’ve tested most products out there on the market and came up with this formula that looks, smells, and feels great. Your face will thank you.
Beard Balm can only keep your manly mane under so much control. You’ll need a solid trimmer to even out the flow and achieve the desired length. I was a Norelco guy for many years, but have found this option from Panasonic to be a little more durable for the long haul.
Fashion
The devil is in the details when it comes to sporting a strong fashion game. Tie Bar packs a plethora of ties of all shapes, sizes, colors, and textures and lets you match them up against different suits to see how they look. Combine that with a solid selection of pocket squares and some fun and funky socks and this spot has all the accoutrements to make your wardrobe shine.
A limp collar can kill your dress shirt game. This assortment of collar stays will make sure your neck is surrounded by crisp looking cloth.
Books
TinyBuddha.com is one of my favorite websites, compiling a ton of zenned out articles on self-improvement. The “Guide to Loving Yourself” brings dozens of their top articles centered around the theme of silencing your inner critic and reinvigorating self-love. Appreciating your own unique awesomeness is a critical first step to getting back out there and loving someone else. This book helped me greatly along that path.
Man, this was an eye opener for me. I identified with the typical “nice guy” that Dr. Glover breaks down in this phenomenal read. Trying too hard to please others while neglecting their own needs…yup, that’s about right. He teaches you how to stop seeking validation and approval from others and start going for what YOU want out of life. If you fall into the Nice Guy category like I did, this is a MUST read.
Some people just know how to light up a room. You meet them and instantly like who they are and what they’re all about. There’s a TON of factors that go into that initial perception and a lot of it is within your control. This book will help you break down everything you can do to build on your existing awesomeness to be even more captivating and charismatic so you can own any room you walk into.
Scott is a personal writer friend of mine and avid fitness enthusiast. In this book, he breaks down several fitness myths and alternative approaches to the conventional corporate gym where you spend 10 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes on isolating weight machines. A great read if you need to shake things up in your fitness routine.
Same author as Charisma on Command and equally good content in this libro that rebels against the negging and peacocking popular in books like Neil Strauss’ The Game. Not a fan of that nonsense and Houpert’s more genuine and authentic approach to attracting women is much more in line with what the Breakup Bro prescribes. This will definitely help up your approach game.
